Christine Muller

I grew up on a farm in Iowa.  This is where my love for animals began. I now live in Rapid City, S.D. with my husband.  We have four children.

Children’s books were always read in our home, especially before nap-time and bedtime.  When I read, I loved watching their little faces and answering questions about the book.  Reading to children is so important.  It not only lets you bond with your child, but it also improves their language skills, boost their brain development and helps with their communicating skills.

My passion for reading to children has pushed me to write my children’s book series called “The Tales of Two Tails”.   In this series the children learn about animals, about communicating, and about treating others with kindness.

Since schools all around us have had to cut back on their reading literacy programs due to financial strains, I am now going to pre-schools and elementary schools to read my books.  Before I read, we talk a lot about the characteristics of the High Country Ranch animals.  Remy is the popular one that they are most interested in.  Because of this, I am talking a lot about donkeys!

The High Country Ranch Gang

Shay is our sweet miniature pony.  She loves going out into the pasture with her friends and exploring.

Remy is our miniature donkey.  She is Shay’s best friend.  Remy may be small but she takes her job seriously at protecting all her friends at High Country Ranch.

Tuff is a miniature sheepadoodle.  He can be very tricky and playful.  He loves laying by the pond at High Country Ranch and watching the ducks swim.

Ike is a Haflinger pony.  He has more whoa than go.  He has a full mane on both sides of his neck.  He can pull a cart or give rides.
